UF Admissions Update

UF’s Admissions Office just issued an update regarding this year’s admissions cycle.

67,000 applications 15,600 admitted to Summer B or Fall

Middle 50% ranges were: 4.4-4.6 (weighted recalculated) SAT: 1340-1490 ACT: 30-34

2800 students were admitted by PaCE 600 to Innovation Academy An additional 1100 were offered a state college partnership program.

It’s important to note here, that UF does NOT admit solely on GPA and test scores. As a highly-selective institution, they practice holistic admissions, which is a review of a student’s academics, rigor, activities, essays and work experience.

I think it’s worth highlighting one key phrase from the update - “The majority of applicants showed potential for success at UF, and many more were recommended for admission than we have space to admit. There were some extremely difficult decisions to make…”

In other words, whether you/your student got in or not, they were amazing. Parents and students would be wise to remember, it’s not whether you get in or not that makes you amazing - it’s the work you do to make you qualified to try.
