Important update: Florida Atlantic University (FAU) admissions for summer/fall 2024 applicants

Florida Atlantic University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions has experienced a 30% increase in freshman applications over the last year for the combined 4,100 spots in the Summer and Fall 2024 entering class. While demand has risen, space available for incoming first-year students has remained relatively constant. As a result, for the first time in Florida Atlantic history, we are implementing a waitlist.

Some qualified applicants are being placed on the waitlist until we can determine, within our rolling admissions process, if spots will remain for them. We anticipate communicating a final decision to these students by May 31.

Please note:

- Waitlisted students are encouraged to report updated grades through the SSAR and submit any new standardized test scores in their application portals or by sending official score reports through the testing agency.

- The waitlist is not ranked, and we are unable to share a student’s position on the waitlist.

- Other than updated test scores and grades, no additional information (including letters of recommendation or statements of continued interest) will be accepted or considered.

- Waitlisted students are encouraged to view a list of frequently asked questions and their answers.
